Thursday Night Workshops for Yoga Teachers with Sue White and Idit Tamir 7.30pm Thursdays, $16 or use your pass
 Develop your yoga teaching skills with guidance from the Samadhi Yoga teacher training faculty 8th May: Teaching on Patanjali's Yamas and Niyamas how can we best represent and include the full 8-limbs of yoga within the context of a yoga asana class? We will look at each of the Yamas and Niyamas in this session and consider their practical and level-appropriate applications.
15th May: Nada Yoga in this class we will reference some of the more accessible slokas from the Hatha Yoga Pradipika to investigate Nada Yoga. Chanting of OM within a yoga class will also be included here as a topic of discussion.

29th May: How to Teach Chanting building your confidence as a teacher to lead simple chants and explain them clearly to your students.
5th June: Bhagavad Gita the Gita tells us that ‘just a little bit of practice on this path has the greatest power and will release all fear’. Basically the message here is one of practice, practice, practice. We will investigate how teachers can keep up their own self-practice as a vital support to the process of teaching.
12th June: The Ethics of Teaching Yoga handling tricky situations and challenges in the yoga class room, with a strong ethical sense and commitment to integrity.
19th June: Chakras practical application of teaching on the chakras to all levels of student. Includes a look at the Bija Mantras (the sound syllable for each chakra). |
